4. CHRISTOPHER² WINKLE (HENRY¹) was born in Pa. 1775. CHRISTOPHER died 1850 in Marion Co. Ind., at 75 years of age.

He married HANNAH ( ANNA) SMELSER in Washington Co. Tenn., 24 August 1803. HANNAH was born in Pa. or Va. 06 December 1784. HANNAH was the daughter of JOHAN ADAM SCHMELTZER SR. and MARIE JOHANNA Eckert. HANNAH died after 1850 in Marion Co. Indiana. 1850 Marion Co. Ind. Census lists age as 74 and place of birth as Va.

CHRISTOPHER WINKLE and HANNAH ( ANNA) SMELSER had the following children:

+ 25 i. FREDRICK³ WINKLE was born 1805.

+ 26 ii. HENRY W WINKLE was born 1810.

+ 27 iii. GEORGE WINKLE was born 1818.

+ 28 iv. ABRAHAM WINKLE was born 1822.

+ 29 v. MARY ANN WINKLE was born 1826.
