He married MABEL MARIE SHAPER in White Oak Twp., Highland Co., Ohio, 13 December 1910.⁽⁴⁰⁾ MABEL was born in White Oak Twp., Highland Co., Ohio 29 January 1894. MABEL was the daughter of WILLIAM WESTLY SHAPER and ICY DORA LANDESS. MABEL died 13 January 1968 in Beavercreek, Greene Co. Oh., at 73 years of age.⁽⁴¹⁾ Her body was interred in Shoop-Zion Cem. Greene Co Oh.⁽⁴²⁾

GEORGE EDW CLEV WINKLE and MABEL MARIE SHAPER had the following children:
